For the Programme of Death with works such as Isle of the Dead (Rachmaninoff), Toward the Unknown Region (Vaughan-Williams), and Danse macabre (Saint-Saëns), Collegium Musicum is still looking for a bassoon, horns, trumpet, trombone, tuba, and double basses. Do you play any of these instruments, and does the repertoire entice you! Please send us an email!
Open rehearsals
At the start of each semester, Collegium Musicum organises a series of open rehearsals where everyone who’s interested can play or sing along with the orchestra or choir in order to get a feel for what it’s like to be a member of CM. The next open rehearsals will be in January.
Curious? Fill in the form below to stay informed about the open rehearsals and other relevant information. If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to send us an email at [email protected] (orchestra) or [email protected] (choir). See you in september!
Membership
As a member of CM, we expect you to attend the weekly rehearsals on Monday evening. Additionally, there are many social activities within CM, however you are in no way obligated to attend them if you do not wish to. If you wish to join the orchestra, you will be asked to take part in a short informal audition where we ask you to play a piece of your own choice and an excerpt from a large symphonic work, selected by the conductor. There are no auditions for joining the choir and we shall determine which voice you get to sing based on a brief voice check. Membership fees currently amount to €75 per semester.
Wish to become a member?
Already keen to join Collegium Musicum? That’s great! Come along to one of our open rehearsals at the start of the semester. Here you will be able to sign up to become a member.
If you wish to join CM without attending an open rehearsal, feel free to email us at [email protected].
